Stephen E. Diamond a partner in the law firm Stenger, Diamond, & Glass, LLP was honored by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce with their Community Service Award at the Chamber’s Annual Gala, the 2022 Emerald Ball.
An attorney for more than 38 years, partner at Stenger, Diamond & Glass, LLP (SDG Law), Steve’s reputation for altruism in the Hudson Valley community was recognized on Saturday March 12, 2022, at 5:30 PM at the 2022 Emerald Ball, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Gala, held at The Grandview at 176 Rinaldi Boulevard in Poughkeepsie.
“I am so humbled to have been recognized by the chamber with this year’s Community Service Award,” said Steve Diamond, “It has always been important to me to serve my Dutchess County community, from my days as a volunteer firefighter to being a lawyer, I believe it is important to give back to the community in any way I can. I’ve enjoyed supporting the important work done by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce over many years especially during such recently challenging times. I am delighted to have received such an honor.”
Proceeds from the gala support the programs and services of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Chamber Foundation, Inc.

Steve, a native of Poughkeepsie, is a founding member and legal counsel for the Matt Herring Foundation and past legal counsel and confidant to the late Elouise Maxey President of the Northern Dutchess NAACP from whom he received the 2017 Drum Major for Justice award. He is past Chairman of, and current legal counsel to the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. Steve is also a past member of the Board of Directors of The Community Foundation of Dutchess County, Legal counsel for Chamber Foundation and a frequent lecturer on the topics of Estate and Retirement planning and Elder Law issues.
Most recently Steve served as a member of the Town of Union Vale Planning Board, a post he resigned from when he was elected Justice in the Town.
